Volunteen positions are still available for local teens to volunteer at the City’s upcoming 2009 Cowboy Festival.  Students, aged 11 to 14, looking to earn community service hours or who are interested in volunteering, can sign up to work at the Cowboy Festival’s Gold Rush Food Court on Saturday, April 25 or Sunday, April 26.

There are also regular Volunteer opportunities still available for local residents. A variety of positions are available for volunteers to work at the Cowboy Festival at Melody Ranch Motion Picture Studio and other ancillary kick-off events taking place prior to the Festival weekend.

Teens interested in applying can fill out and submit a Volunteen form no later than Monday, April 6, 2009.  Forms are available at the City’s Community Services Office, located inside The Activities Center at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway.

All Volunteens must attend a mandatory Volunteen Round-Up event on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 7:00 pm. in the Century Room at City Hall, located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard.

All others interested in applying must submit a volunteer form also available available at the City’s Community Services Office, located inside the City’s Activities Center at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway, by Wednesday, April 15. Forms must be submitted in person at the Community Services office or via mail to “Volunteers – Cowboy Festival, City of Santa Clarita- Mezzanine, 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway, Santa Clarita Ca 91350.”
