Freezin’ for a reason! Come Join YOUR Santa Clarita Valley Sheriffs at Castaic Lake and take the Polar Plunge to help the Special Olympics of Santa Clarita Valley or donate on-line. The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station is joining in partnership to support the Special Olympics Santa Clarita Valley at the annual Polar Plunge event.

All community members are encouraged to take the plunge with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and join all the Search and Rescue members, Sheriff’s Posse members, Sheriff Explorers, professional staff, station volunteers, and other sheriff’s station representatives who will be in attendance.

Residents, business leaders, community representatives, and media professionals are invited and encouraged to attend the event. We hope to see you there!

Special Olympics is the largest sports organization in the world. In Santa Clarita Valley, more than 500 athletes have experienced life-changing opportunities through year-round training and competition in Olympic-type sports.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
