A Narcotics Search warrant was executed at a residence on the 26000 Block of Rainbow Glen in Canyon Country by members of the CIT team, J-team and Crime Prevention Unit. Both teams are part of the newly formed Crime Prevention Unit. Forced entry was made to the location due to person’s attempting to flee the premises. While executing the search warrant, a stolen motorcycle, two thousand dollars’ worth of irrigation valves stolen the night before, heroin, methamphetamines, a zip-gun, a loaded semi-auto pistol, fraudulent identification, counterfeit currency, numerous computers some containing what appears to be identity theft and credit card fraud information.

One of the suspects was detained in the garage where he was hiding. Evidence of heroin and drug abuse was evident in several areas of the home. A ten year-old male at the location was taken into protective custody when his parents were arrested for child endangerment, methamphetamine possession and grand theft. In total seven adults were arrested on felony charges that included the following: grand theft, possession of fraudulent checks, possession of methamphetamine with a loaded firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of heroin, possession of narcotic paraphernalia,  receiving stolen property, and possession of burglary tools

The CIT team will be contacting the owner of the property to serve notice that the Sheriff’s Department is initiating the process of abating and potentially seizing the process through civil proceedings.  Abatement is a civil process utilized when property owners maintain a public nuisance such as allowing a property to be used to sell narcotics or store stolen property.
