On the heels of announcing an impressive list of state and local leaders supporting Santa Clarita Community College Trustee Scott Wilk for the 38th State Assembly District, several more community and political leaders have endorsed Wilk. Simi Valley Councilmembers Barbra Williamson and Mike Judge, Ventura County School Board Member Dean Kunicki, Santa Clarita Valley EDC Co-Chairman Bill Kennedy, Saugus Union School Board Member Doug Bryce, and Newhall County Water District Director B.J. Atkins have joined the Wilk Campaign, highlighting his efforts in the community and leadership for the region.

“Water is one of our most precious resources,” said Atkins.  “Scott Wilk is committed to expediting the cleanup of perchlorate from our local groundwater.  He is a tested leader, ready to do battle defending Santa Clarita Valley ratepayers against unnecessary and always expensive unfunded mandates, especially those of the unelected state and regional water boards.”

Dean Kunicki added, “Serving as a college board of trustee Scott Wilk knows the importance of education.  Scott is committed to higher academic standards and giving parents and teachers a greater voice in student learning.”

“Scott is the right person to represent our interests,” commented Kennedy. “He has well established touch points to gauge the needs and sentiment of the people and is extremely well grounded on educational, financial, political, and business issues.  Plus, he knows how to get things done in Sacramento!”

“We need leadership in Sacramento that will fight for our region and protect taxpayers from the reckless spending, while getting government out of the way of job-creators,” said Wilk.  “If I am elected to the State Assembly, voters can be assured that I will be a champion for less government and a pro-jobs agenda.  I am greatly encouraged by the support I am receiving.”
