(From the-signal.com) Nearly 35 Santa Clarita Valley residents attended a community meeting Wednesday to voice opinions concerning anticipated building sites for a new Stevenson Ranch library. The meeting was hosted by the West Ranch Town Council and Los Angeles County Public Library System officials and designed to give SCV residents a chanceto help officials decide where to build a proposed library.

Margaret Todd, Los Angeles County librarian, opened the discussion. “At this time, we believe there are sufficient funds to build a library,” Todd said.

Members of the Los Angeles County executive officials joined in the meeting, discussing the pros and cons of the three types of properties being considered available for lease, both county- and privately owned options.
