Locals in DC for Gold Medal Ceremony

Dr. Gene Dorio, a guest commentator to this publication, and his wife Robin were in Washington, D.C. and sent in this photo to The Beacon, which is a tongue and cheek takeoff of what The Signal does when residents travel out of town.  Instead as you can see, he has a laptop open with The West Ranch Beacon on the screen. They were in Washington, D.C. on November 2nd with Gene’s uncle, Harry Wakai, as his WWII unit, the Military Intelligence Service, was awarded the nation’s highest civilian honor, the Congressional Gold Medal.
