The Western Region of the Armenian National Committee of America has endorsed Scott Wilk to replace Assemblyman Cameron Smyth for the 38th Assembly District Seat. Smyth is vacating the seat due to term limits. “In our meetings with Mr. Wilk, he has demonstrated a thorough and impressive grasp of issues concerning the Armenian-American community. We have no doubt he will be among the strongest voices for Armenian-American issues once he is in Sacramento and we look forward to a long and productive relationship with him,” said ANCA-WR spokesman William Bairamian.

Wilk stated, “The Armenian community is a growing force in the 38th Assembly District. This is endorsement is very personal to me. I know their history and issues as my wife Vanessa Safoyan Wilk is 100% Armenian. I have heard the horror stories of the Armenian Genocide from my in-laws and other family members and I will do whatever I can to bring awareness and justice to the Armenian people.”
