Deputies arrested three men Tuesday evening after an apparent road rage incident near Via Princessa, between May Way and Sierra Highway. The drivers of two vehicles apparently had some sort of driving related disagreement and one of the drivers reportedly threw a soda can at the other moving vehicle.
The incident continued as the vehicles drove westbound and then eastbound on Via Princessa where the incident reportedly escalated to involve the chasing and ramming of vehicles and the eventual use of a crow bar, by one of the suspects, to inflict more damage to one of the vehicles.
Deputies responded to reports of a fight and quickly detained all the parties involved. John Vetrie, MW/33, of Canyon Country; Bryan Lewis, MW/19, of Canyon Country; and Travis Fagan, MW/19, of Saugus were arrested on felony charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Vandalism. They were booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. Suspects Lewis and Fagan are being held in lieu of $30,000 bail pending future court proceeding. Suspect Vetrie posted bond and was later released pending future court proceedings. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.
