Deputies arrested Seiron Martirosyan, MW/48, transient, on theft related charges in connection with an incident at the Ralphs Grocery Store in the 24800 block of Orchard Village Road Monday evening.
Suspect Marirosyan allegedly attempted to steal more than a thousand dollars worth of alcohol and other items from the store. Store employees attempted to detain him, but Martirosyan ran from the store toward Avenida Balita. A passerby and Good Samaritan spotted the suspect running and gave chase. The citizen was able to detain the man until deputies arrived and took him into custody.
Martirosyan was booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station on a felony Burglary charge. He is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail pending future court proceedings. Detectives will look into the possibility that this suspect may be connected to other similar incidents of theft that occurred recently in the Santa Clarita Valley and San Fernando Valley. The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.
