The Magic Mountain/ I-5 Expansion Project updates and improves Santa Clarita’s transportation system by improving mobility, enhancing safety, alleviating congestion, and greatly increasing the capacity of the affected interchange and local roadways. The Project was funded through Los Angeles County, Newhall Land, and Metro.
“Thanks to the Expansion Project’s improvements, the Magic Mountain/I-5 Interchange is now better equipped to accommodate rush hour traffic flow as well as provide a safer commute,” said Mayor Frank Ferry. “As the community continues to thrive this popular interchange is now also prepared to meet future transportation needs of the region.”
The Grand Opening event will be held at the corner of Magic Mountain Parkway and The Old Road. Attendee parking will be available in the Marie Callendar’s Parking lot, located at 27630 The Old Road.
