This Saturday the Community Hiking Club will be traversing Thorn Point Lookout which is an 8 mile roundtrip hike with an old fire lookout tower on the top. The hike is planned for tomorrow, Saturday September 5, 2009. Those interested should plan on meeting at the gate outside of Towsley Canyon before 8:00 AM for an 8:00 AM departure to the trail head. Bring water, lunch, poles, and layered clothing. This hike is located in the Los Padres National Forest. The original Community Hiking Club September hikes that were scheduled have all been canceled due to the Station fire in the Angeles National Forest.
