S.C.O.R.E., which stands for “Supporting Children’s Opportunities in Recreational Events,” provides more than 100 scholarships to local underprivileged youth annually. Residents can make donations from $5 to $200 or more to help Santa Clarita kids participate in a host of recreational activities.
“The City of Santa Clarita is committed to providing local youth with quality recreation programs and facilities, but some kids cannot afford to experience them,” said Councilmember Laurie Ender. “By donating to the S.C.O.R.E. program, residents can help ensure that all community kids can enjoy the chance to participate in local organized sports and recreation.”
Community members can donate to the S.C.O.R.E. program online at santa-clarita.com, via telephone by calling (661) 250-3700, or in person at the City’s Sports Complex Activities Center.
