A fire broke out in the hills of Santa Clarita on Thursday morning, prompting officials to launch a massive campaign to prevent its spread.
L.A. County Fire Department and other agencies sent four choppers and scores of firefighters to Sierra Highway and San Fernando Road, where the blaze broke out after 9 a.m. reported the Los Angeles Times.
The fire had burned 10 acres in a hilly region of dry, heavy brush, said County Fire Inspector Sam Padilla.
Officials said the winds are moderate, but high temperatures are making it harder to fight the blaze.
