Rep. McKeon held a press conference this morning at the Bear Divide Picnic area on the corner of Bear Divide Road and Sand Canyon Road announcing the Bill and discussing the significant local benefits.
Residents of Northern Los Angeles County are particularly fortunate that Rep. Buck McKeon has chosen to include some local proposed wilderness in this vast bill. Those areas include Piru Creek Wild and Scenic River (7 miles), Magic Mountain Wilderness (13,709 acres), and Pleasant View Ridge Wilderness (28,424 acres). This bill will leave a legacy of national significance for future generations of Californians thanks to the leadership of Rep. McKeon and Senator Barbara Boxer who worked with Rep. McKeon to bring this important bill forward.
