A suspect wanted in connection with the killings of a NASA engineer and three others in Quartz Hill was taken into custody near the Arizona-Mexico border, authorities said Sunday reports the Daily News.
Jae Hwan Shim and another unidentified man were apprehended about 9 p.m. Saturday in Douglas, Ariz., said Los Angeles County sheriff’s Deputy Oscar Butao. Douglas is about 90 miles southeast of Tucson.
“It is not yet clear what they were doing in Arizona,” Butao said. “Although they are in custody in connection with the murders, they have not yet been charged.”
Douglas Police Department officials declined to comment on the apprehension of Shim. No other information about the second man was released.
Police are still looking for Si Young Yoon, 34, who was last seen leaving his Lancaster home Monday morning. His car, a silver Acura, was found in Palmdale.
