Renaux, who was arrested and released over the weekend and re-arrested Tuesday, is also accused of threatening the victims with a box cutter. He did not enter a plea and his arraignment was rescheduled for Jan. 15 at the Pasadena courthouse reports the Daily News.
A 19-year-old woman alleged that Renaux approached her last Saturday at Colorado Boulevard at Kinneloa Avenue and asked if she wanted a ride, said Pasadena police spokeswoman Janet Pope Givens.
The woman accepted, and Renaux drove her to the 3800 block of East Foothill Boulevard, where he allegedly threatened her with a box cutter and raped her.
The woman managed to get away from the suspect and jot down her assailant’s license plate number, which she provided to police, Givens said.
The investigation led police to a second woman, who claimed she was attacked in a similar way on Nov. 28 in Pasadena.
If convicted, Renaux could face life in state prison. Anyone with more information about the suspect was asked to call police at (626) 744-4501.
