The Community Hiking Club will be traversing Cooper Canyon this Saturday, May 30th. The first few miles of this gorgeous canyon are downhill, and extremely easy. Then, the next 8 miles are a gradual uphill climb and the last 2 miles are all down hill on the road to get back to the campground. In all it is an 11 miles roundtrip with a 1500′ gain. Bring lots of water, lunch and some snacks. NOTE: Dianne and some of the other club members will be camping for the weekend at Cooper Canyon. Hikers should meet at Towsley Canyon outside the gate at 7:45 AM to carpool to the Cooper Canyon Trail head. Those Camping will meet everyone at the trail head at 8:45. You are welcome to hang around the camp ground for awhile after the hike. Bring your adventure pass if you have one! For more information contact Diane at [email protected]
