(From the AP) A two-car crash in Lancaster has claimed the life of an 82-year-old woman and sent seven other people to the hospital. The Los Angeles County Fire dispatch supervisor Andre Gougis says the crash occurred Thursday night.
Authorities say the woman killed was a passenger in a car driven by 39-year-old Ziola Weipp. The deceased woman was from Lancaster but her name wasn’t immediately available.
The other car was driven by 34-year-old Lorena Sameron.
Both drivers and five other people in the two cars were hospitalized with injuries.
Gougis says crews from six ambulances responded to the scene.
