Newhall man drowns in pool

According to a local report a man’s body was found by his child at the bottom of a Newhall apartment complex pool Sunday evening, sheriff’s officials said. Sherriff’s deputies received a call about 31-year-old Alejendro Arriaga at 7:45 p.m., according to Lt. Tom Bryski of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. Paramedics transported Arriaga from the complex on the 25000 block of Walnut Street to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead, Bryski said.
