The chili cook-off was first sponsored by the Sheriff’s Department over 25 years ago, and has grown to include dozens of competitors, sponsors and vendors, in one of the largest summer weekend events in the Santa Clarita Valley. This year’s event will feature over 30 chili competitors as well as a Kid’s Zone, food and drink vendors, live music, games, retail vendors, a 50/50 drawing, military displays, LASD Department displays, and much more.
Admission is only $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for children ages 7-14, and free to children 6 and under. Admission includes a chili tasting card which entitles the bearer to sample each chili entry and vote on their favorite for the “People’s Choice” award.
Proceeds will benefit Special Olympics of Southern California and the Police Unity Tour.
Jack Bones Equestrian Center is located at 26893 Tapia Canyon Road in Castaic is accessible via the Parker Road exit off the northbound Interstate 5 to Castaic Road south; continue ½ mile to Tapia Canyon Road east, and follow the signs to the event.
Only service animals may be brought into the event.
There are no ATM’s at the event.
The Chili Cook-off will be held rain or shine.
