The DEMOC-rats are starting to disassociate the Obama ship. As the president refuses to pivot, holds firm on his failed policies, he introduces yet another $1.5 trillion in new taxes. To none one’s surprise or expectation, including his Democrat base, Obama is targeting the mega rich. Flanked by delusional Warren Buffett, Obama called on those earning more than $1 million annually to pay their fair share of the taxes. (For the record, the top 1% pays 38% of the taxes, and the bottom 75% pay about 13% of all income taxes). Obama called for a 4.5% surcharge on the top income earners and a raising of all taxes on those who earn more than $200,000 per year. Nevertheless, class war continues; however, there are no hemlock takers from the good Dr. Obama .

In fact, Obama has become near toxic in the wake of two defeats in Congressional elections. The defeat in Nevada’s second district was anticipated but New York’s 9^th District was a shocker won by Republican novice Bob Turner, who defeated the Democrat candidate 54%-46% in a District that is 75% Democrat-registered.

Indeed, the rats are starting to flee the sinking ship in the Empire State.

A recent Gallup poll in California shows Obama support has slipped to 49% with a 45% approval rating. The rats are starting to escape the sinking Obama ship in the Golden State.

According to a CNN poll, Obama has lost at least 11% of his Democrat base who previously supported him for president in 2008.

A CBS poll shows Obama support declining to 39% approval. Obama is deep in negative territory.

Incredibly, in an editorial by the Chicago Tribune, Steve Chapman wrote he thought Obama should step down after one term. Chapman laments… “ if he wins he faces a gridlocked second term, it might be better to call it a presidency and let someone else carry the mantle in 2012.” The Tribune endorsed their home-town candidate Obama in 2008. Chapman thinks Hillary Clinton should be the 2012 candidate. More rats jumping the ship in the Land of Lincoln. It’s almost laughable if it were not so tragic.

Do you remember when Obama convened both Houses for his anticipated jobs speech after his umpteenth vacation to Martha’s Vineyard? He clamored 18 times to “Pass this Bill, now.” Number two man in the Senate and fellow Democrat Dick Durbin says, he plans to get to the bill sometime next month. Another rat jumping ship.

Dennis Kucinich ( D-Ohio) who is losing his District, says he may move to Washington State to run for Congress OR he may challenge the president in the Primary. The former mayor of Cleveland and eight-term congressman is looking for a job. Another rat jumps the ship.

Recent scandals include the inept Fast and Furious gun control issue that took the lives of three Border Patrol agents and the debacle of $500 million in guaranteed Federal loans to the now-defunct Solyndra Corporation in the Bay area. Also, the ominous Obama Care looms on the horizon.

I would observe Democrats will continue to distance themselves from the poisonous Obama regime save maybe one member of Congress. Debbie Wasserman-Shultz said recently, “ the president is in great shape as he tries to pull the economy up from the George Bush-generated recession. Now, there’s a loyal DEMOC rat.

Look for more rats abandoning the Obama ship.
