Representatives from Lennar/Newhall Land will present the Mission Village project at the West Ranch Town Council meeting on Wednesday, October 3rd. Mission Village is the second phase implementation of the approved Newhall Ranch Specific Plan.  Mission Village will be developed on approximately 1,250 acres of land located within the northeastern portion of the approved Specific Plan, directly west of Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Mission Village, the urban core of the Specific Plan, includes the development of 5,331 residences (595 detached homes, 2,459 condos/townhomes, and 2,277 mid-density attached residential units) and approximately 1.3 million square feet of commercial/mixed-uses, an elementary school, fire station, public library, 37 acres of parks and private recreational facilities, trails, transit improvements and road improvements.  Extensions of Magic Mountain Parkway, Westridge Parkway and Commerce Center Drive will occur in conjunction with the development of Mission Village.

Mission Village will look and feel very similar to the Valencia Town Center area minus a traditional mall.  Vertical and horizontal mixed use – residential above and adjacent to commercial uses - in the community core will be located within walking distance of the elementary school, park, library and other community amenities.  Development of Mission Village will occur over a 5 to 10 year period.

The West Ranch Town Council meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month in the Newhall Room at the TPC located at Tournament Players Club (TPC) located at 26550 Heritage View Lane in Westridge.
