If you have not read the post earlier titled “Region’s Transit a Hostage to Terrain”, please have a look at it as it hi-lights the freeway issues all of us in the Santa Clarita Valley are facing. Many residents are getting frustrated with the disruptions every time there is a major accident or natural disaster on Interstate-5.
If you are one that is frustrated and angered by the most recent incident that happened over the weekend at the I-5/14 interchange than you may want to attend the West Ranch Town Council meeting o Wednesday, November 7th at 6:30 PM in the Newhall Room at TPC in Westridge. The guest speaker that evening will be Victor Lindenheim, Executive Director Golden State Gateway Coalition.
Mr. Lindenheim will be giving an overview of what the Golden State Gateway Coalition is doing to deal with the issues surrounding the I-5 Freeway through the Santa Clarita Valley. It is a chance to hear what is being planned to deal with truck traffic, congestion, and an opportunity for residents to voice concerns, comments and questions. If you are fed up with the I-5 traffic, you need to attend this meeting. All those interested in attending are welcome!
The West Ranch Town Council will hold its regular monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of every month in the Newhall Room at the Tournament Players Club (TPC) located at 26550 Heritage View Lane in Westridge.
The meeting will include the regular monthly updates from the Sheriff’s Department, the California Highway Patrol, Parks and Recreation and the County. There are special guest speakers each month on a variety of topics. The guest speaker for December is Loa Angeles County 5th District Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.
