     Los Angeles County Fire is reporting that the status of the following fires and road closures:
The “Ranch” Fire in Castaic is currently 10% contained with 500 homes, 50 commercial properties and 50 out buildings are threatened. 3 homes and 4 out buildings have been destroyed with 47,240 acres burned. Evacuations are still in effect for Chiquito Canyon, Hasley Canyon, Val Verde, Hopper Canyon toward Filmore
 

The “Buckweed” Fire in Canyon Country is currently 80% contained. The fire is headed in a westerly direction North of Saugus with over 37,812 acres burned so far. At least 32 structures have been damaged or destroyed. There are No mandatory evacuations in affect but no residents are allowed to go back in. Evacuation Centers are still open at Saugus High School / Quartz Hill High School and Golden Valley H. S.
 

Road Closures: Sierra Highway at Davenport / Sierra Hwy at Sand Canyon / Bouquet Canyon and Spunky Canyon / Bouquet Canyon and David Way / Bouquet and Vasquez Canyon / Aqua Dulce and Sierra Highway / Sierra Hwy and Vasquez Canyon / Whites Canyon and Steinway / Whites at Stillmore / Camp Plenty at Soledad / Hasley Canyon Road between Commerce Center and Del Valle

The “Magic Incident” (Stevenson Ranch) is currently 93% contained with 1750 acres burned and the fire holding. No structures have been damaged or destroyed. The cause of this fire appears to be accidental, caused by construction workers welding. There are NO evacuations in effect at this time.
 
 
Meadowridge Incident (Santa Clarita) containment is unknown at this time. More than 40 acres have burned and no structures are threatened at this time. The cause of the fire is under investigation and there are no evacuations have been declared at this time.
