Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives are investigating the death of one man and the wounding of another, which occurred at the Diamondhead Condo Complex in the 25200 block of Steinbeck Avenue early this morning.
Deputies from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the location regarding an assault call. Upon arrival, deputies found two male white adults, both apparently late teen early 20’s, with apparent stab wounds. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.
The victims had been part of a physical altercation involving approximately 10-15 individuals, which occurred in the guest parking lot at the location. The investigation is ongoing and is being handled by the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s Homicide Bureau.
