The Signal, KHTS AM1220, The West Ranch Beacon, and SCVTV will sponsor a community forum tonight, Thursday October 8, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Santa Clarita City Hall, which is located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard. The forum panel on Thursday will consist of Ron Mechsner, President of the West Ranch Town Council; Steve Teeman, President of the Castaic Town Council; Richard Ryan representing the Tesoro community; Beverly Burr, consultant representing the City of Santa Clarita funded reports; Richard Berkson representing the County of Los Angeles funded report; and Sandor L. Winger, Executive Officer of the Los Angeles LAFCO . The evening will be moderated by Leon Worden of SCVTV with questions coming from reporters from The Signal, KHTS AM 1220, The West Ranch Beacon.
The Signal, KHTS AM1220, The West Ranch Beacon and SCVTV formed a strategic alliance to help disseminate information and continue to educate the Santa Clarita Valley communities on the upcoming unincorporated area advisory vote.
The upcoming vote, which will be in conjunction with the local school and water board elections, will take place on Tuesday, November 3. Ballots reflecting this advisory vote will be distributed to residents of the West Ranch, Tesoro and Castaic areas only.
The public will also have the opportunity to ask questions of the panel. This forum is designed as an informational discussion and is not a debate on the options available to the community.
